Questions, answered
Everything about the ListLoom list name generator — cost, privacy, styles, and how generation works.
Is the ListLoom list name generator free?
Yes — unlimited generation in all four styles and all seven list types, with no account, no trial, and no paywall.
Do I need to sign up?
No. There is no account system at all. Open the page, set your options, and generate.
How does the generator create names?
It assembles names on your device from curated word banks — core nouns per list type, style-specific adjectives, pun collections, and formatting patterns — using cryptographically secure randomness (crypto.getRandomValues). No two batches are the same.
Can I add my own keyword?
Yes. Type any word or short phrase (up to 24 characters) into the keyword field and the generator weaves it into the names, e.g. "road trip" becomes "Road Trip: Midnight Grooves".
Is anything I type or generate sent to a server?
No. The entire tool runs in your browser. Your keywords, generated names, and downloads never leave your device.
Can I use the generated names commercially?
The names are original, generic suggestions, but ListLoom does not check trademarks or existing usage. Before using a name for a business, product, or public playlist brand, run your own clearance search.
How many names can I generate at once?
Up to 15 per batch, and you can generate unlimited batches. Use Copy all to grab the whole batch or Download .txt to save it.
Which style should I choose?
Playful for personal and shared-fun lists, punny when you want wit, minimalist for clean private organization, and professional for anything work-related or team-shared.
Does it work offline?
Once the page has loaded, yes — all generation logic runs locally in your browser.
Can I suggest new name ideas?
Absolutely — use the contact page. The best community suggestions get added to the word banks in future updates.
